Melissa Penley Cormier earned an Master of Fine Art from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in InterMedia and Digital Arts, and a BFA from Radford University. Originally from Appalachia, she feels most at home standing under the boughs of a deciduous forest or wading through a briar patch.  These days though, she can often be found in or around Baltimore, Maryland looking and listening closely and inviting others to join her.
